The Purpose of the position:
As a Senior Fire Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for working with a diverse range of clients, providing fire specialist consulting in the built environment. Additionally, you will be responsible implementing and managing scalable solutions that are fit for purpose and customisable to fulfil client objectives and ambitions, ensuring maximum engagement and satisfaction.
The candidate:
Will have Experience undertaking fire risk assessments across a range of built environments and developments
Will have a Good understanding of the framework of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, fire safety regulations 2006
Strong work ethic, creative problem solving and interpersonal skills, research and report writing abilities and good knowledge of the regulations
Demonstrated successful track record all the above key responsibilities
Diploma in fire safety related topic
BSc in Fire Safety Engineering or Fire Engineering preferred not essential
The role:
Create fire strategy/risk/compliance solutions for clients within the built environment and development (offices, shopping centres, retail, business park offices, high rise, residential and property development environment)
Ownership of the standards and quality of advice given to clients and overall positioning on contentious or contradictory matters
Undertake fire risk assessments (type 1,2,3 and 4)
Design and present fire strategies in line with client requirements and regulatory requirements
Design client programs and execute for preparedness tests for emergencies or safety events and test them
Providing coaching and support to other consultants with regards to technical fire advice
Keep up to date on current fire safety and fire safety management issues and provide expert advice and support to the business and to clients in respect of said fire safety and fire safety management
Provide an expert understanding of the framework of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, fire safety (Scotland) regulations 2006
Provide a technical understanding of complex buildings fire safety, fire emergency plans, fire evacuation plans, separation and compartmentation and residential fire safety
Work with the marketing, sales and directors and lead in respect of research and product development
Review and prepare fire safety white papers or articles for the board
Recommend to the board standards in alignment with our vision, mission and goals for management, quality, competency and delivery of fire specialist consulting
Provide international interpretation of fire safety as required.
