The Role
Managing and controlling the profitable development of retailers within their designated sales region. (Specifically related to their used car department)
Assisting the retailers within their region to achieve their agreed targets.
Ensuring the Approved Used Vehicle programme standards are adhered to.
This is all achieved by conducting regular visits to the retailers, reviewing performance, agreeing objectives and documenting actions within improvement plan and follow-ups.
The Candidate
Must have a good understanding of the motor trade with extensive experience of used car sales in franchise dealerships.
Requires a good understanding of manufacturer approved used car programmes.
Capable of understanding, interpreting and summarizing management accounts.
Able to arrange and conduct meetings with retailers and negotiate agreed targets.
MOST IMPORTANT is Motor trade experience - higher up the tree the better, but will consider - Used Car Sales Manager -> GM -> DP
IDEALLY with some territory management experience - but a better used car experience person will beat an ok used car experience person with field sales.
